Deacon Tim M. Killmeyer grew up in the Elliott/Sheridan area of the City of Pittsburgh and married his wife, Chris, in 1980. His road to diaconal ministry came about after being the Construction Coordinator for the Moon/Robinson section of the Montour Trail (a volunteer position) and determining that, while the trail is a good thing, his volunteer time could be even better spent working for the Lord in ministry to others. After four years of diocesan formation he was ordained to the Diaconate in 1999.
Not too long after ending a 15 year career as a chef, he received a bachelor's degree in theology from Duquesne University and followed that with a master's degree in religious education from the same. Deacon Tim also completed a two year certification in spiritual direction in the school of Ignatian Spirituality and Exercises. Though attached to Archangel Gabriel Parish for sacramental and liturgical functions his current diocesan assignment is as Diaconal Assistant to Persons with Disabilities.
