Knights of Columbus September 2023 Family Spotlight:  Doug and Cyndi Beasoc

Doug and Cyndi are lifelong members of Archangel Gabriel Parish’s legacy churches, Cyndi at Holy Trinity Church, and Doug at St. Malachy Church, where they attended their respective grade schools and received all of their blessed sacraments. Doug and Cyndi were married at St Malachy Church, the same church where both sets of their parents were also married, in November 2007. They were founding members of the F.I.R.E. Youth Ministry program under Bob Summers during their high school years. After high school, they continued to be Core Team Members, attending and chaperoning various mission trips and other events. They then got involved in the Young Adult Ministry program.

Over the years, Doug has been involved in the St. Malachy Choir, Worship Committee, and Living Stations of the Cross. He has also served as the Nationality Festival Games Chairperson, and he continues to be a highly active and valuable member of the Archangel Gabriel Knights of Columbus Council, where he has been instrumental in designing and implementing the organization's social media marketing strategy and recruiting efforts. Cyndi was involved in the Holy Trinity Choir, where she sang with her grandfather for many years. She has also played trumpet for various feast and sacramental days, as well as holy day Masses around the Diocese of Pittsburgh. Beyond the Parish, both Doug and Cyndi are involved in various non-profit organizations. Doug is a board member of the Captain Sean M. Ruane Foundation, and Cyndi is an assistant director of bands for the Pennsylvania State Lions Club.
