Knights of Columbus Family Spotlight: Marc and Jennifer Mattarochia Family

The AGP Knights of Columbus Council #11279 are honored to recognize the Marc and Jennifer (Jen) Mattarochia Family as the May 2024 Family of the Month.

Marc and Jen Mattarochia are lifelong members of St. Malachy Church (AGP) and they are both St. Malachy School alumni. The Mattarochia family has always been highly active in supporting the parish and the schools over the years, and their sons, Dominic and Dillon, who attended St. Malachy School and now attend Archangel Gabriel School, are following the examples set by their parents.

Jen started getting involved in her teens by teaching CCD at St. Malachy and later volunteering at the annual Nationality Festival and summer AGS Festivals at Holy Trinity. She volunteers at the Vacation Bible School Summer Camp, serves as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and has been a teacher at St. Malachy and then at AGS since 2005, where she is also the head varsity Cheerleading coach, leading the teams to 10 Diocesan championships.

Marc, who has served as athletic director for both St. Malachy and AGS, has also been their basketball coach since 2005 for AGS and earlier at St. Malachy where they won back-to-back Diocesan titles in 2009 and 2010.  Marc also organized fundraising to transition and rebrand the AGS gymnasium to the AGS Knights theme from Holy Trinity. The gym is now all Knights and looks fantastic!

Both Dominic and Dillon attended the VBS Summer Camp when they were younger, and now they are giving back as volunteers. Both Mattarochia boys are also altar servers, with Dominic reading scripture and Dillon playing piano for school Masses.
