Seven-Church Tour
The Holy Thursday Seven Church Tour is back! A bus has been chartered by the parish and will be departing from St. Malachy Church following the 7:00 PM Mass of the Lord’s Supper (approximately 8:30PM). We will be visiting seven churches and praying as a group in each. We expect to arrive back at St. Malachy Church at approximately 11:45 PM. There is no cost to participate, however, registration is required. Space is limited to 45 persons.

Liturgy of the Passion of the Lord

Tenebrae Service

A service in darkness commemorating Jesus’ Passion which includes psalms, choral pieces, readings, and responsories from the Office of Readings of the Liturgy of the Hours. The gradual extinguishing of candles represents Jesus' increasing sorrow, followed by a loud noise at the end, representing the death of Christ.

11:00 AM: Adoration, Confession, and Benediction at St. Malachy Church
On Wednesday, April 9, parishes across the Diocese of Pittsburgh will “keep their lights on,” offering opportunities for Confession, worship, and prayer. At Archangel Gabriel Parish, priests will be available for Confession during the following times:

In addition, we will celebrate Mass at Holy Trinity Church at 6:30 PM. A Lenten Prayer Service will follow Mass and will feature Eucharistic Adoration, liturgy of the word, and contemplative prayer and music. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will continue (as usual) until 10:00 PM.
