Family Catechesis Online Learning

Family Catechesis (Fam Cat) online learning is designed for families who are unable to attend in-person sessions on Sunday mornings.  Below you will find the format and schedule for online learning for the 2022-2023 catechetical year.

• ​Watch the monthly online video, which will be available on the 1st of each month.
• Complete the activities with their child(ren) using the Parent’s Guide and their child(ren)’s Activity Book.
• Engage in a monthly conversation with their Formation Companion.  A Formation Companion is someone you choose to accompany you on this journey through Family Catechesis, a friend who can be a sounding board.  Your Formation Companion should be someone who is available and supportive and with whom you can share your thought candidly.  This could be a spouse, neighbor, co-worker, fellow parishioner, prayer partner, and so on. 

• For families who choose online learning, a minimum of one parent/guardian is required to participate. Depending on your family situation, one or both parents may want to participate.  Both parents are certainly welcome and encouraged to do so!
• Families may not switch back and forth from in-person Family Catechesis to online Family Catechesis.
• There are no Zoom meetings or Franciscan At Home workshops.
• Online learning families are not required to submit Interactive Chapter Review results or turn in anything else.
• You may obtain your child(ren)’s Activity Book and a Parent’s Guide at the AGP Administrative Office (5718 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks 15136) between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.  For those families registering after October 1, your materials will be ready for pick up approximately two (2) business days after your registration is submitted.

• OCTOBER: Watch video and then do activities on pages 7-41 in Activity Book.
• NOVEMBER: Watch video and then do activities on pages 43-62 in Activity Book.
• DECEMBER: Watch video and then do activities on pages 63-82 in Activity Book.
• JANUARY: Watch video and then do activities on pages 83-104 in Activity Book.
• FEBRUARY: Watch video and then do activities on pages 105-120 in Activity Book.
• MARCH: Watch video and then do activities on pages 121-139 in Activity Book.
• APRIL: Watch video and then do activities on pages 141-158 in Activity Book.
