Service of Love Blanket Making

If part of your Lenten plan is to give alms, consider joining us to make a fleece tie blanket on Wednesday, March 8, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM in Weirauch Hall on the St. Malachy Campus and bring a friend or family member. You will need to bring 1 and 1/2 yards of 2 coordinating fleece fabrics (3 yards total) or you can purchase a kit (size 40 x 60 inches) and a SHARP pair of FABRIC scissors. If you have never made a fleece tie blanket, we will show you how to do it. During our meetings, we pray over the blankets so they can be given to anyone in need of prayer.

If you would like to participate by making a fleece tie blanket or if you crochet or knit, you can also make a blanket at home and drop it off at our meeting or make arrangements to have it picked up. Our blankets, lapghans, and chemo caps are donated to local healthcare facilities and other members of our community.
