When Sarah Tegano’s daughter began preparing to receive her First Holy Communion, she began to reassess her own relationship with the Church. “I was baptized Presbyterian”, she said. “My husband, Justin, was baptized and received his 1st Communion, however, he was never confirmed. While we were attending weekly mass, there still seemed to be something missing in our faith. We thought that it would be an excellent time for our family to obtain the sacraments together.”
For about four months, Sarah met weekly with RCIA Leader Patty Sampogna to explore the Catholicism, a process which she found both educational and fulfilling. “RCIA was absolutely amazing,” Sarah said, “and we highly recommend it . . . Our family has grown in our knowledge and understanding behind Catholicism, and it has brought us closer as a family and to the Lord.”
