Fr. Ken Marlovits, Pastor Fr. Ken Marlovits is assuming the role of pastor of Archangel Gabriel Parish after serving the past four years as a faculty member of Saint Paul Seminary and as the Director of the Office for Priestly Vocations. Fr. Ken retains his position as part-time Chaplain at Bishop Canevin High School, where he will be assisted by Fr. Jacob Gruber. Fr. Ken recently celebrated his ten-year anniversary of priesthood. Prior to entering the seminary, he had a 14-year career in public education, working at Blackhawk High School as a social studies teacher and assistant principal. Fr. Ken is looking forward to returning to parish life and bringing the joy of the priesthood he has shared with the seminarians to Archangel Gabriel Parish.
Fr. Jacob Gruber, Parochial Vicar Fr. Jacob Gruber is known to Archangel Gabriel Parish, having served our community as a seminarian and Transitional Deacon. Upon his priestly ordination on June 24 of last year, he was assigned as parochial vicar (pro-tem) at Saint James Parish and Saint Katharine Drexel Parish, while also returning to The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, to complete his advanced studies in Sacred Scripture. In addition to being assigned as full time parochial vicar to our parish, he will also assume the ministry of part-time Chaplain with Fr. Ken at Bishop Canevin High School. Fr. Jacob is thrilled to return to the great people of Archangel Gabriel Parish.
