"Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38)
Baptism is the first of the Sacraments of Initiation. Through Baptism, we are welcomed into the family of God and our sins are washed away.
It is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.
Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission. (CCC 1213)

We welcome every parent to bring your child forward for Baptism, regardless of your circumstances.
If your child is between birth and age 6, you are in the right place! For more information on Baptism of a child between ages 7-18, please contact Director of Faith Formation Steven Swank at [email protected]. For an Adult Baptism, contact RCIA Leader Patty Sampogna at [email protected].
Like many dioceses in the United States, our Diocese requires parents to participate in Baptism Preparation before the Baptism of their children. We recommend that this class is completed and the sacrament scheduled during your pregnancy so that the child can be baptized soon after birth.
Parents must only take the Baptism class once every five years.
Each child brought forward for Baptism must also have at least one godparent who is a confirmed, practicing Catholic age 16 or older. Before you invite friends or family members to be godparents to your child, please be sure to read the requirements and responsibilities of godparents in the Godparent Form below. All godparents must sign, date, and return the Godparent Form to the Administrative Office along with a letter of eligibility from the parishes at which they are registered at least two weeks prior to the scheduled Baptism. On the day of your child's Baptism, please be sure to dress them in a white garment.
Due to COVID-19, baptisms are being scheduled on an irregular basis. Please fill out the form below and someone from our team will contact you shortly.
